What is ESN?

 Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a European-wide student organisation, with 335 sections in 33 countries, created to support and develop student exchange. The aims of ESN are to promote the social and personal integration of the exchange students.

ESN Basel aims, like other local ESN sections, to ensure that all international students in Basel feel at home, have a great time, meet a lot of new people, get a good glimpse of Swiss student life and Swiss culture in general. To achieve this, we organise welcome parties and all kind of fun events, all year long. We also set up buddy programs, provide information and may even come and fetch you at the airport when you arrive! In a word, we are here to make your stay a better one.

So make sure to check our event-schedule from time to time. If you forget to do so, make sure to be registered on our email list (just write a quick email to esn@stud.unibas.ch). We will be happy to keep you updated via email.

And if you would like to apply for a personal buddy/mentor, i.e. a Swiss student who can help you to find your way and to introduce you to life in Basel etc, check out the "Buddy"-section in the menu, there will be further instructions on how to register for the buddy system.
